Yesterday, UKPIPS received an email from Astra Zeneca announcing that they are making Evusheld available outside of the NHS effective from 19th October 2022. We understand the 600mg dose of Evusheld will be available for £1,000, this winter only.
To access Evusheld outside the NHS, you will need a private prescription from your clinician, which then needs to be fulfilled by an authorised healthcare provider. There will be costs associated with this process.
Whilst UKPIPS is disappointed with this announcement, we felt that we should let you know about it. We continue to fight, alongside Evusheld for UK and other organisations, for it to be available to everyone who needs it, through the NHS.
If you have any questions about accessing Evusheld privately, please do not contact UKPIPS. Astra Zeneca have a dedicated Medical Information and Patient Safety (MIPS) team to answer your queries.
