Sue Rees ( who likes to use her birth name Sue Izzard on Facebook – long story) is a partially retired Civil Servant who was only diagnosed with a PID when she was 50.
Sue is a divorced mum of 2 30 something’s one of whom is a different type of zebra. While she lived in East Lothian Sue was actively involved with the National Childbirth Trust, her Local health council and has acted as a contact for families with children in hospital and also those in need of special education.
Now living in Edinburgh Sue has her son still living with her and is going through the process of getting their flat adapted for him and can related to those who also have a busy caring role for family members.
Sue has an MBL deficiency along with borderline antibody levels which was not diagnosed until in her 50’s. She is keen to work with UKPIPS in pushing for earlier recognition of PID and diagnosis.
